Genealogy - Research family tree, learn family history. Find census records
Genealogy is the study of family history. You research your family tree and learn your family history. It shows you how different members of your family are related to each other.
Some of the ways you can research your family is to find census records, birth and death records, international passenger records, military records and other public records that are available.
By exploring your roots you may even find you're related to somebody famous or that your origins are from a country far away.
A good place to start is with yourself. Add yourself and then work your way backwards with any information you have about your family. Any birth certificates, marriage licenses, military records, death certificates and even family bibles are helpful. Some families would keep records of family events in their bibles. Family photo albums might even reveal some things about your family.
