The Women's Excursion from Garmont is one of two full plastic backcountry ski touring boots available: warm and lightweight with the control necessary for backcountry turns which is where this day and age are bringing us. It was specifically designed for 3 pin touring compatibility with today's new generation of lightweight, edged backcountry/rugged touring skis but don't be afraid to throw them on your big boards on one of those days of a foot of fresh as they are stronger than you would expect and make the tour much easier. Excursions are warm, waterproof, and durable with a removable women's specific liner for easy drying or to keep your toes warm at night. They have 3 pin duckbills and are extremely tourable: very light, with an easy "touring" flex using Garmont's multi-injection process in a soft-flexing pebax shell. Don't be afraid to pull a few turns in these though as they will hold up to some of the steepest terrain out there and you can actually have fun not only going up the hill but down it as well. Grins all the way around...now lets go another round!!! No question a favorite here in the Northwest Cascades where we have to ski in before we can ski up anything...
